Little Samurais – Designed for 4-6 year-olds. Students will be introduced to a fun and simplified version of karate techniques, such as blocking and kicking, and concepts such as respect, self-control, and setting and reaching goals. Fitness and games are also key components of the class as well.
Children’s Class – Intended for children from 7 -12 years old. Students will be introduced to basic tenants of self-defense. Kicking, punching, blocking, and stances are the foundation of the art. Kata (or pattern), partner drills, hone the basic skills into effective techniques. Calisthenics, sparring, and games are also key components of the class as well.
Teen/Adult Class – Adults learn essentials of self-defense in hand-to-hand combat as well against armed opponents. Fitness, conditioning, traditional karate maneuvers, as well as sparring, are a few of the benefits gained from the curriculum. Minimum age is thirteen.
Blue & Up Class – Students will have already earned a blue, green, brown, or black belt. More advanced strikes, blocks, stances, and kicks are taught and practiced. More involved sparring strategies and more complex partner drills. New intermediate and advanced kata (formal exercise) will be introduced and focused on. Traditional martial arts weapons are a major facet of the training.
Open Class – Available for students of all levels and of all ages. Great for families, weekend warriors, and beginners who want a third class during the week.
